No. Calls from home cause homesickness. They may call home in the event of illness with the KLK camp director's approval. KLK and CCCC staff are trained to help campers work through homesickness. If they cannot be consoled, parents will be contacted.
Extra money is needed for the snack shacks, gift shops, and crafts. $20-$30 should be more than satisfactory. There is also a missionary offering that will be taken each day for a special mission effort presented by our camp missionaries. Pray about what your camper should give!
Deposits are due by May 01, 2021. After this date $75 per camper/sponsor is due, which includes a $25 late fee that does not go toward the final balance. The deadline to send in final payment and paperwork is Friday, June 11, 2021 at noon.
Are refunds available under extenuating circumstances?
Deposits are non-refundable. Portions of the balance may be refunded in extreme situations. Crafts, food, etc. are purchased based on numbers of registrations. A large portion of money is spent in advance of the camp start date. Refunds are only approved by the TEBA Camp Liaison.
Will you be able to work with my camper's specific dietary needs?
Yes, but communication is key! Prior to camp, please inform us of any special needs on your Medical Waiver Form. If necessary, you may need to speak with the CCCC chef to ensure their dietary needs are met.
No, introducing unprocessed persons to the campus is prohibited, with one approved exception - provision of a Senior Pastor Guest Night (Monday evening for Camp 1 and Thursday evening for Camp 2). Senior Pastors of churches attending Kids Life Kamp are welcome to visit the camp from 5:30 PM (to join us for dinner - at KLK expense) until after the worship service at 8:30 PM.
Snacks ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THE CABINS - EVER! Church snack option - bring snacks in sealable tubs, clearly marked with each church's name. They will be accessible in the eating areas during the evening snack time from 9:30-10:00 PM. The snack shack will also be open during this time. Meals are designed to meet their energy and health needs.
You are required to pass the Child Protection test found at http://kidslifekamp.org/child_protection You will be expected to teach a daily Bible study, lead the campers in their Quiet Time, play with them at rotations and counsel them in spiritual decisions. See the Sponsor book sent to you by email prior to camp.
No, early arrivals hinder KLK registration staff and nurses from being fully prepared. Is it okay for our church to leave early? No, this robs your campers of the full spiritual experience. The wrap-up/send-off is vital to "living" the theme at home!
